Class Discrimination Complaint Against Collier County School Board

Parents and advocates of children enrolled in the Exceptional Student Education (ESE) program in Collier County, FL are working to improve the delivery of education and services to our precious and most needy children. Collier County Public School District is failing to recognize their (Federally mandated) responsibilities to children who qualify for services and protection under Title II of the American with Disabilities Act, Title 6 of the Civil Rights Act, and under Title 34, section 504 of The Rehabilitation Act of 1973.

A Class Discrimination Complaint has been filed with the Office of Civil Rights against the Collier County School Board for continuing and widespread discrimination violations against ESE students. A second Class Discrimination Complaint will be filed against the Florida Department of Education (FDOE) for allowing continued and widespread discrimination violations in all Counties in Florida with respect to Exceptional Student Education and Due Process procedures.
